An allegedly intoxicated boat driver crashed into the shore of the Lake of the Ozarks late Saturday, sending the boat smashing into a home and ejecting all eight people onboard, authorities said.

The 2014 Nortech motorboat plowed into the lakeside house around 11:55 p.m. at the 1.3-mile mark of the Osage Arm in Miller County, according to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The boat — powered by three outboard motors — first ran aground, then launched into the home and overturned, ejecting the passengers.

The victims, who are all from out of state, were men and women between the ages of 21 and 51.

Six of them were seriously injured, including the driver, a 47-year-old man.
