American PGA Tour professional golfer James Hahn was born on November 2, 1981.
Hahn was reared in Alameda, California, but was born in Seoul, South Korea. After graduating in 2003 from the nearby University of California, Berkeley, where he played golf as a student, James Hahn turned professional.
James Hahn had previously played on the Canadian Tour, Korean Tour, and Gateway Tour before joining the Nationwide Tour in 2010. James Hahn had five top-10 finishes during his rookie season, which saw him rank 29th in terms of money earned on the Tour.
On June 4, 2012, James Hahn took home the Rex Hospital Open trophy after defeating Scott Parel in a playoff to get his green card. The following day, James Hahn took a flight to California to take part in sectional qualifying for the US Open.
